Santa Rosa County is updating its Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) and needs community input. This important plan helps identify and reduce risks from both natural and man-made hazards that could affect homes, health, businesses, and other natural resources across Northwest Florida.
What environmental concerns matter most to you?
- Hurricane Impacts/Wind: Are you concerned about the future storm impacts to our area due to hurricane-force winds?
- Coastal Resilience: How can we better protect our community from flooding and storm surge?
- Wildfire: Are you concerned with wildfire damage to your personal property?
- Extreme Heat/Cold and/or Drought: Do you have concerns about extreme weather events?
- Erosion: Do you have opinions about how large storm events may cause erosion within our community?
Feedback will guide a community-driven action plan to help reduce future impacts and build a safer, more resilient Santa Rosa County.
An information booth will be available from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, at the Milton Farmers Market at Turtle Fountain, 5203 Elmira Street in Milton. All responses are anonymous. Learn more and share your thoughts: https://engagestantec.com/santa-rosa-county-lms
