The UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Extension Service is hosting an Agritourism Workshop on Tue., Oct. 29from 8:30-11 a.m. at the UF/IFAS Extension Offices, 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton. Trent Mathews, with Sweet Season Farms, will teach participants about opening a farm to the public.
The workshop is $20 and each registered attendee will receive a “Whole Cob” admission to visit Sweet Season Farms. Register for this workshop and other workshops in the AGRItunity Farming Series at online.
This workshop is part of a series for beginning farmers and farmers who want to diversify their operations. Classes are offered on Tuesdays from 8:30 - 11 a.m. at the extension office. The cost ranges from $20 - 40 per class depending on the topic. The next, and final program, will be on Thur., Nov. 7 about fruit production.
