Event Description:
The annual Senior Chill Out, hosted in collaboration with WEAR ABC 3 News, Pensacola, NewsRadio1620 and Cat Country 98.7, seeks community donations of AC units, fans and financial assistance for senior citizens who are vulnerable to the heat during the Florida summer.
With temperatures on the rise, heat can be extremely dangerous for aging adults - including risk of stroke and heat exhaustion. In fact, fatalities from heat exhaustion outnumber those from hurricanes, tornadoes and floods combined.
